Jeff Capps (he/they) grew up in Southeast Los Angeles County and studied media and psychology at UC Berkeley and social welfare at UCLA.
Jeff’s multimedia projects and collaborations in film production have appeared in festivals, publications, and other venues such as the Daily Californian, de Young Museum, LA Film Festival, Orange County Register, Pacific Film Archive, PBS, San Jose Mercury News, SFGate, and Sundance.
Jeff also works as a clinical trainer, psychotherapist, and consultant, with features in CalMatters, SAMHSA’s Minority Fellowship Program Connect, and UCLA Newsroom. Jeff focuses on learning design, integrative psychotherapy, and equity initiatives and has a forthcoming textbook chapter about anti-oppressive praxis via Cambridge University Press.
