Jeff Capps (he/they) grew up in Southeast Los Angeles County and studied media and psychology at UC Berkeley and social welfare at UCLA.


Jeff’s multimedia projects and collaborations in film production have appeared in festivals, publications, and other venues such as the Daily Californian, de Young Museum, LA Film Festival, Orange County Register, Pacific Film Archive, PBS, San Jose Mercury News, SFGate, and Sundance.


Jeff has also worked as a clinical trainer, adjunct professor, psychotherapist, and consultant, with features in CalMatters, NASW-CA Newsroom, SAMHSA’s Minority Fellowship Program Connect, and UCLA Newsroom. Jeff focuses on learning design, integrative psychotherapy, and equity initiatives and published a textbook chapter about critical race praxis via Cambridge University Press.
